Why did I write this book?
I found myself in the midst of a sudden takeover of a near century old Wall Street investment bank in the Spring of 2008. The event left me uneasy. How could this happen?
Two decades within the firm gave me insight into the events that led to the financial crisis beginning in 2007. The consequent enormity of the human toll moved me to devote a year to write down my reflections and general observations of the financial world I lived in.
“Cinderella of Wall Street” is a memoir of recollections that is both autobiographical and reflective of the evolution of the financial world over three decades. The book spins together several stories interlinked through symbols and clues embedded in the narrative throughout.
